Scope

As of September 2024, the Lower Grand River is an official State of Michigan Water Trail!

This project aims to create a safe and user-friendly designated route along the Grand River for nonmotorized boats like canoes and kayaks with accessible takeout/entry points and signage.

The Lower Grand River is 96 miles from Portland to Grand Haven. There are currently 35 public access points, with more on the way.
