The Public Art Plan for the Grand River Greenway aims to enhance the riverfront experience in Downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. This initiative will facilitate the creation of a cohesive curatorial vision and action plan for riverfront public art. Focused on commissioning or curating permanent installations, including gateway pieces and site-specific sculptures, the plan prioritizes inclusivity, cultural enrichment, and community engagement. It seeks to advance a vision of a beautiful, accessible, and equitable riverfront while fostering partnerships, securing funding, and enhancing communication.
